The newly enhanced southern zone of bird at Guangzhou Zoo has officially opened, debuting its charming IP characters — the "Winged Family" — for the first time.  

Visitors can now discover an expanded collection of rare and exotic birds, including the crested ibis, great hornbill, black stork, and Eurasian spoonbill.  

Another highlight of the zone is anexhibition area for native wetland animals, featuring perches, lush greenery, and flowing streams that recreate a natural habitat for birds, providing an immersive bird-watching experience for visitors. Interactive fun facts about the birds are also displayed around the area.

How to get there?

Transportation:

1. Take Guangzhou Metro Line 5 to Guangzhou Zoo Station (Exit B/C), near the south gate

2. Or take Guangzhou Metro Line 6 to Huanghuagang Station, near the north gate

Bird zone's location:

Enter Guangzhou Zoo via south gate, and turn left
