Dubbed "the Oriental Swan Lake", the Chinese classic dance drama Silk Road will be staged at the Guangdong Friendship Theater in Guangzhou from April 18 to 19.

Performed by the Gansu Provincial Song and Dance Theater, Silk Road blends a variety of artistic forms, including Chinese classical dance, Indian dance, Persian horse-bell dance, and Turkish dance.

Since its premiere in 1979, the production has been performed over 4,000 times, showcasing the charm of the Silk Road and Dunhuang cultures in more than 40 countries, such as France, Italy, Germany, and Japan. With over 5.45 million viewers worldwide, it has been celebrated as a "milestone of Chinese dance drama".
