The Lijiang Snow Mountain Sightseeing Train, operated and managed by Guangzhou Metro Transportation Development Company, officially commenced initial operations on February 12, according to relevant departments of Lijiang City in Southwest China's Yunnan province.

The 20.7-kilometer route is located on the southern foothills of the Yulong Snow Mountain in Lijiang city. It starts at the new tourist service center of Yulong Snow Mountain (Tourist Center Station) and ends at Ganhaizi Xuechuan Tourist Port (Yulong Snow Mountain Station), passing through major tourist attractions and hubs such as Baisha Ancient Town, Yushui Village, and Dongba Valley. During the initial operation period, passengers can enjoy round-trip rides between the starting and terminal stations, while intermediate stops will remain temporarily closed.  

This project, managed by Guangzhou Metro Transportation Development Company, a subsidiary of Guangzhou Metro Group, marks the company's first rail transit tourism project outside the city.

The sightseeing train features a panoramic design with three carriages, a maximum speed of 70 kilometers per hour, and a capacity of 351 passengers. Equipped with electrically dimmable large viewing windows, it offers passengers breathtaking views of the majestic Yulong Snow Mountain, crystal-clear lakes, and stunning gorges. The interior showcases Dongba script (a local ancient hieroglyphics) and Naxi ethnic arts, highlighting Lijiang's natural beauty and cultural heritage.  

In recent years, Guangzhou Metro has expanded its services to 22 cities across 13 provinces in China, including Shanghai, Nanchang, Chongqing, and Qingdao, while maintaining high standards across 23 service projects.
